Mendy Stevens was born and raised on a farm in Jetmore, Kansas. She graduated from Jetmore High School in 1990 and went on to Dodge City Community College before graduating from Kansas State University in 1995. Mendy graduated from Fort Hays State University in 1999 with her Masters degree in Special Education.
Mendy took her first teaching job in Special Education at Southlawn Elementary in 1995 and taught there until she transferred to Sunflower Intermediate when it opened in 2001. Mendy has been teaching Special Education since.
Mendy loves spending time with her family, husband Brad, son Braden and daughter Brooklyn and living in the country. She also loves watching her KSU Wildcats play football and her childrens' sporting events. In her spare time she and her family love to spend time at their cabin in Angel Fire, New Mexico.
